Modern society
demands high quality teaching and learning from teachers and hence the growing importance of Teacher Education, to produce tactful, resourceful, properly trained and equipped persons who can effectively cope up with these changing situations. Today, Teachers are required to be professionally developed as facilitators of children’s learning by way of helping a child to
construct his/her knowledge and to not only be equipped with competence of the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) but also, to be oriented and sensitized in order to be able to distinguish between developmentally appropriate and detrimental uses of ICT. We at, DIET Zunheboto, as the nodal agency for providing academic and resource support
at the grass root level for the success of various strategies and programmes undertaken in the areas of Elementary and Adult Education, though in its nascent stage, has been able to deliver on all fronts and with our ability to optimally utilize our resources at hand,continue to strive to equip prospective teachers and untrained teachers, with the knowledge, attitudes, behaviours
and skills they would require to perform their tasks effectively in the classroom, school and wider Community.
